[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Oh thank goodness it’s that time of year again when most off us head off for sunnier climates!! It’s time to soak up the sunshine, build up your Vitamin D reserves and get away from the stresses of everyday life.

We’re often asked here in Only Natural for suggestions on what to bring away, sometimes it’s gift ideas for someone moving overseas but most times it’s just for people who want to enjoy their trip as much as possible and be as comfortable as they can.  So we’ve compiled a list of what we would recommend gets packed in your suitcase or in your hand luggage.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Lets start with the plane journey, a lot of people, me included, find flights very drying so for me lip balm and hand cream at the very least is a must! Lavera do aHoliday Packing Only Natural great travel size handcream that is perfect for hand luggage and Dr Bronners Organic Hand Sanitzier is another favourite here instore. This can also be spritzed around you on the plane to help neutralise any airborne nasties and the calming lavender scent is an added bonus for anyone who gets stressed with flying. Eye drops are another good one to have close at hand and we particularly like A Vogel Eye Drops – no bloodshot eyes on arrival here! And of course make sure to drink plenty of water throughout your flight.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Wearing the correct clothing also makes a difference to the journey so personally I know I’m going to be decked out in Boody – super soft, stretchy, breathable and odour free![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Snacks in my opinion are something that should be thought of ahead, especially if Holiday Packing Only Naturalyou have younger travellers, nuts are a great one to have in the bag, along with other high protein snacks. It’s now become a bit of a family tradition in our house but a batch of Dale Pinnock’s Curry Cashews (or Hurry Curry Cashews as my daugher calls them!) must be made prior to any trip up the M50! Rescue Pastilles are another favourite in here for plane journeys, both to calm any nerves and to help with ear popping.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]So what about for when you finally reach the sun? We have a number of natural sunblocks – Jason, Green People, Aloe Pura and Lavera which are gentle on skin whilst still protecting from the sun. And don’t forget the aftersun and aloe vera gel for after, Green People have a lovely mint scented after sun which I tried last year and will now be forever on my packing list! If you suffer from prickly heat try taking A Vogel Stinging Nettle, as it is a natural anti-histamine, during your holiday.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”10508″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If you’re heading somewhere where mosquitos are an issue try taking a high dose of B1 (at least 500mg) a couple of weeks before and for the duration of the trip. We also stock natural mosi repellents so make sure to stock up before you go.  Also if you suffer from digestive upsets it might be wise to bring some probiotics with you and Kim never goes anywhere without a bottle of grapefruit seed extract – any sign of a tummy upset or the sniffles and everyone gets dosed!![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]At the end of the day wherever and whatever you decide to do just make sure to enjoy yourself and tell us of your travels when next in store and we can swap tales![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
