Welcome to June! This is a benchmark personally for me as it’s my birthday month, this year I celebrate my 60th year in this wonderful world. Like all milestones whether it be the passing of a year, month or week it’s something to both celebrate and reflect on.
Nature is certainly celebrating, the roadside, hedgerows and gardens are a riot of colour; when the sky is blue and the sun is shining its easier to feel thankful and appreciate the beauty.
Colour is something we use to adorn ourselves and our homes, and there has been many studies showing how it can influence our state of mind. I’m often drawn to crystals by the colour and pay attention to the colours that catch my eye as this can be an indication of where my chakras and energy system are in need of assistance.

One of my favourite spots in the the shop is the corner where the crystals and incense are. I love the scent and colour (and of course vibration) just take a moment to become fully present and see which crystal is more appealing. The colours often link with our chakras. Clusters are a beautiful addition to any space as they promote harmony.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

So this month whether you’re reflecting or celebrating (which could be as simple as making it this far!) Treat yourself and honour how well you’re doing. Try some incense, it’s great for those warmer evenings to keep the bugs away; if you prefer an oil burner try using pine or geranium or burning one of the beautiful scented candles. The aroma assists in balancing our emotional well being too, as well as being practical. On an esoterical level the flame/smoke represents the element of fire which assists increasing energy and bringing change, hopefully warmer brighter days…

And here is May, the time of blossoming, when natures starts to reveal the promise of the harvest to come. Well are you ready? Personally I’m finding the energy is a mirror of the weather; one day calm, full of promise, the next a raging storm! Let’s hope that this month brings the balance and warmer brighter days, so that we can all benefit from being in rhythm with natures’ cycle. To assist in balancing myself I’m using positive affirmations and crystal energy. Hematite is good for helping feel connected and grounded; a sign of needing its help, is feeling spacey or unable to focus.  Sodalite is good for clearing head space and calming irrational thoughts. If you’re feeling edgy and unsettled red jasper helps centre and ground. If you just feel out of sorts and can’t find a reason then Amber helps clear and balance the energy centres. (I saw some some lovely jewellery in the shop).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

The first weekend sees the festival of Bealtane, traditionally celebrating mid way between spring and summer, a time of rejoicing in the seeds planted in the spring, as they start to grow. As I ponder how this reflects my life (the mirror) I feel as if there is a continual battle to maintain my equilibrium. If you have been feeling this too, my tip is to ‘ride out the storm’ as in listen to your body, your feelings.  To assist in this you may like to treat yourself, as in honour how far you’ve come and how well you’re doing; this could be to indulge yourself in some pampering. There’s some lovely gifts, body products and chocolate in the shop. I love using the products with added essential oils as they can really help improve mental and emotional well being. Lastly remember to breathe and appreciate the unfolding of the promise of summer, take time to connect with the abundance as nature prepares her bounty. Next month hopefully we’ll be ready to smell the roses!

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_single_image image=”13054″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”April” color=”green” style=”dashed” border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

As we leap forward into the next quarter of the year,  with the lighter evenings, longer days and warmer sunshine, I love the freshness and promise of more sun and warmth. In my hopeful, positive days when the sun is shining and the sky all blue, it’s easy to think winter and the colder days are behind us. Yet I’ve noticed on my travels, there’s still a nip in the air and a lot of the trees and hedgerows seem reluctant to burst into leaf. This made me think of how sometimes in life I’m slow to step into something new, cast off the old, whether it be a habit, clothes, lifestyle etc. As much as I sometimes yearn for something more exciting, fresh,  the old and tested are often harder to let go of, than the step into the unknown.
By nature I like change and so the lateness of the trees to spread their canopies made me ponder timing. Again by attuning to nature we can stay in the flow. I’ve noticed in the past when the trees are late to bud (not just the oaks) the cold weather isn’t yet done.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]So my tip for this month is be patient with yourself, you may feel the year slipping away and yet if you can maintain equilibrium in yourself, your dreams and plans can unfold and manifest for you.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

To assist in this, positive affirmations work well to keep your thoughts (mind), body and spirit (emotions) in sync. There are cards available with beautiful text that you can read and focus on daily, plus signs and books to dip into when you feel the need. One of my favourites is Louise Hays book – You Can Heal Your Life, where she gives you affirmations to say, linked with physical dis-ease and emotional response. Some of my favourites are
‘I trust in the process of life’
‘Everything is working out perfectly’
‘I live my life with joy and ease’

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12999″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

The wonderful thing about affirmations is you can feel the resonance, the truth of them. I usually repeat them 3 times when I get up in the morning, and 3 times before I retire to bed. I’ve noticed that after the first day of so, sometimes I’ll add a word or adjust them, so they flow easily. Affirmations are like intentions, if they’re in alignment with what is for our highest purpose and we feel the ‘rightness’ of them, then all we have to do is allow them to work their magic.
If you’re feeling out of sorts, April is anti-stress month and Reiki is a great way to enhance relaxation, if you’ve not yet experienced the serenity of a reiki session, this could be a great way to get yourself in the ‘zone’.
Certain crystals are also good at calming and soothing. Sodalite is good for settling a busy mind,  Rose quartz promotes peace, and Red jasper is good for keeping us balanced in times of change.
Whatever you do or wherever you go let the good feelings flow!

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”March” color=”green” style=”dashed” border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

I’ll be celebrating my 60th year this year, and the rate the year is passing it’ll be here in the blink of an eye. Just like spring, as March heralds the official arrival of Spring. February was on the whole a very mild month and the hedgerows confirm that with masses of daffodils and gorse in bloom, plus the trees almost in bud.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

If we try to live in harmony with nature we can flourish and bloom too.  To do this its beneficial to keep in step with the seasons as they change even if they seem out of sync with the established norm (I can’t remember in my time on earth seeing daffodils in full bloom in February!)

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”12896″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

If you’re finding the transition to wake up from the slumber of winter difficult, to assist try a flower remedy to help the shift, (you can use a pendulum to dowse) if your unsure what you require. Both are available in store. Carrying certain crystals may help too,  Amber keeps your chakras balanced while coping with change; Rose quartz and Jade help gently release anything that no longer serves you and if you’re feeling very resistant Malachite will assist in bringing necessary change (I often pair it with Rose quartz to help the process have a gentler affect.)
There’s a lovely selection in the shop and just taking a few breathes to balance yourself before you pick them will ensure you’re drawn to the ‘right’ ones for you at this time.
Enjoy the energy of spring, this blessed time of growth and renewal.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”February” color=”green” style=”dashed” border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

If you’re reading this you’ve survived the longest darkest month! As the nights begin to draw out and we are blessed with some beautiful sunny days. However your January has been we’re now heading full speed into February and beyond!
As you’ve probably gathered from my earlier contributions I draw a lot from my connection with nature and I’m hoping that February will continue to offer guidance.
What I mean by this, is ‘we’ as part of the universe can be mindful and watch as nature (and the world around us act as a mirror, as well as providing answers). For example as I was driving into Wexford  (something I’ve done many times throughout the past few years) I noticed due to the lack of foilage I could see further across the landscape and I noticed buildings and trees in the distance I hadn’t seen before.  As soon as this thought came, it was followed by the feeling and thought of the year opening up and the message was ‘look beyond the confines of where I am at present!’ I then noticed that all is not as bleak and wintry as I had been thinking (rather than observing) for the trees are waking up and colour is starting to appear in the hedgerows. I felt uplifted and hopeful which certainly was a better feeling than the gloom of January!

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

My tip for February (as I’m  reminded) is to be ‘still and listen’, this can be done as you go about your business, as the ‘stillness’ is really about being present, being Mindful.  The ‘listening’ is inner listening being aware of the messages that come to you when you open up and notice what is really happening.
To assist with this, being grounded rather than in your head is the key. Dark coloured crystals such as hematite and garnet can help, the hematite will help with circulation so if you suffer with cold hands, holding a piece of this will help warm you as well, as keeping you grounded. Garnet is a great companion for this month as it amplifies the inner fire and attracts passion and love into your life, as well as warmth. Just right for February 14th! See you on the other side….

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_single_image image=”12814″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”January” color=”green” style=”dashed” border_width=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

January can be a month of contradiction, as mother nature is still in stasis, perhaps creating the feeling of wanting to ‘nest’, to keep warm and relax; then the energy of the new year often challenges us to set new goals, let go of the old and bring in the new. Perhaps this is why so many new year resolutions fail.
Maybe this is the time to follow the natural rhythm of nature and wait for the spring energy before making any big changes. The natural state of inertia at this time is great for reflection,  to look back at the year gone and decide what worked (made you happy, peaceful) and what can be discarded as it no longer serves you.
Being the first month of the year we may feel its a great time to start afresh, hence new years resolutions.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Whatever you decide is right for you, check back in with your inner knowing, your spirit, soul energy. A good way to do this is to settle yourself so you’re relaxed, then play both scenarios through your mind; staying the same or changing. If it is something you wish to change or discard, then see yourself doing this. Do this with an open heart and feel the energy of how it feels to no longer be in the old situation/energy. If it gives you an uplifted feel then by maintaining the vision of what you want to achieve (sending it positive energy) it brings it closer to your vibration, and like attracts like.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”12667″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_outline” border_color=”green”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

If you find creative visualisation difficult,  write it down and reread it.If January is a long difficult month for you, try using some crystals to boost your energy and mood: Fluorite is a great uplifter (choose the colour you’re drawn to, or rainbow for an allover effect.) If you want to assist your mojo then appatite is great for bringing back the zest; Rose quartz if you need to reactivate love in your life for yourself and others and of course clear quartz for clarity and energy, plus you can use it to enhance other crystals or modalities that you choose to assist you.
Passion flower essence is a great flower essence to open a heart to life and love.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Now you may be raring to start your new year and if so using the visualisation techniques may assist you in reaching your goals.
As unique expressions of the whole we are all different so whatever you decide be kind to yourself and happy.

Happy New Year to you all, hope to see you soon x[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
