There’s nothing quite as bad as not being able to get off to sleep when we need to, be it because the mind is too active or for whatever reason. We’ve all been in this situation and when we took on the Nik’s tea range about a year and a half ago a number of us had reason to try her Sleepwell tea. It’s a blend of quite a number of sedative herbs including passion flower, valerian, lemon balm with some like fennel, aniseed and caraway to gently calm the digestion. Valerian is not known for its delightful flavour and it was with some trepidation that I brewed my first cup and sweetened it with a little honey. I was more than surprised and relieved to find it perfectly pleasant and now it’s more often than not my choice of drink ¬†last thing before bed and I’m happy to say that the resulting good night’s sleep is fairly guaranteed. image
